The meaning of home has evolved into a multitude of realities. Breakthrough technologies, commercialization, cultural barriers, and the need to fit in or stand out are all factors that have contributed to this change. We are leading the charge to change the business culture by coming from non-traditional backgrounds and rich cultural histories. Our non-traditional backgrounds have allowed us to expand and grow in the digital space. We represent a wide range of departments, including customer experience, analytics, prototyping, engineering, and research. Our focus is not just on ROIs, but also on positive social impacts. We enjoy expressing our learning by creating empathetic experiences and humanizing our ever-changing landscape of digital platforms.

MAPPING THE EXPERIENCE


As I reflect on my personal journey as a child, I am taken back to a particular time in my life, around 4 or 5 years old. I clearly remember those moments when I was extremely imaginative and had no barriers to derail my creativity. I wanted to become an inventor, unknowingly steering myself toward becoming an Industrial Designer. My definition of an inventor at the time had absolutely no foundation or inspiration that I could pull from within my network. I wish I had a playbook or something to help me navigate these experiences. My only frame of reference was the "Imagineers" who secretly operated within the ecosystems of Disneyland, and the creators behind Technic LEGO sets. These figures helped me get excited about what I wanted to do: utilize my passions and skills to the fullest to navigate through this personal growth. I had no idea that this could develop into a career that would define my personal journey, uncovering my curiosities and explorations, and hoarding any information that aligned (or didn't align) with my personal interests.

When it came to stretching my creativity or developing a new system or product, I knew that I had to be working on something that could have an impact on a larger audience, rather than just my own personal needs. (Side note: I have a fascination with automation and manufacturing processes, which I know is a bit advanced for my five-year-old self.) Oddly enough, even to this day, I have harnessed the power of being a tinkerer. Whether it be reorganizing customer pathways, developing personas, or going down the rabbit hole of uncovering emerging technologies and how these trends might be integrated into our future lifestyles, I am always looking for new ways to innovate. Long story short, my methodologies have taken on many forms and have been implemented in various frameworks, but my foundational principles and guidelines remain true across all applications.
